Voter ID has been a hot button topic in Wisconsin for some time.  Republicans want to end voter fraud while Democrats want to keep it alive.  The Democrats are as aware as we are that voter fraud benefits them.  We at the Republican Party of Dane County don’t at all begrudge the Democrats for wanting to win elections.

But the official spokesman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Graeme Zielinski has taken things to a new level. He’s explicitly accusing Republicans of trying to suppress the vote of minorities. He’s accused Republicans of “voter-caging against African-Americans”. When Media Trackers did an investigation into vote fraud committed by Sen. Lena Taylor, Zielinski responded, “You are a racist and are going down.”

Democrats playing the race card are nothing new. It’s really the only arrow they have left in their quiver.  But historically, the race card has been played in a subtle manner.  We didn’t realize that as political organizations we can just call the opposition “racists” for no reason.  We must not have gotten that memo.

The Democrats say we’re racists because we’re “suppressing their vote” by not letting African-Americans (or anybody else) vote illegally.  By that logic, Democrats are “suppressing their vote” by allowing people to vote illegally who will cancel out the vote of African-Americans that voted legally.

So, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander:

“Graeme Zielinski is trying to suppress the African-American vote. He is a “bad actor up to no good”. Graeme Zielinski is a racist, and he is going down.”
